Whenever I'm photographing my own kids, I'm not always doing so with the "photographer" thinking cap on. We are not in the middle of a session. We are in the middle of life! And yet, I do not consider myself a lifestyle or story telling photographer. Yes, I occasionally dip my toe into the water, but for the most part, portraiture is my passion. Where I feel more at ease.

These photos were taken today as part of my 365 photo project with the prompt being "memories." I'm trying really hard to take a photo every day and so I did not chose to pull up a previous photo. Instead, me, the hubby and our Joa went to visit the Colorado River State Historic Park and made ourselves some new memories. I didn't get my usual posed portrait, but I just LOVE how happy our boy was with the whole experience. These photos exactly depict how he was feeling...bouncy! Thank you to our tour guide, Robyn, and the staff working on a Sunday. They were lovely to us all and very informative. We can't wait to visit more of our State Parks!
