So, I’ve lost track of time…

Hennig Family

My first big group photo session!

It was my intention to post every day this year never thinking I’d actually be taking photos for others rather than just for myself. It’s been a challenge keeping up with editing and delivering galleries on a timely manner. Oh, I’ll be honest, I get so excited I stay up all night and sometimes deliver things before I should. Sigh. But I digress. I am taking pictures and loving it more every day. So, back to the Hennigs.

I couldn’t have asked for a better family to be my first large group challenge. They were all awesome to work with! As the date for our session neared, I was both excited and terrified at the same time. In preparation, I rented a Sigma Art 35mm lens from Lens Rentals and that was the best decision I have ever made. In fact, I ended up purchasing one for myself immediately after.

The Hennig Family was super nice and patient and the kids super adorable. If you are curious, do check out my Facebook page and you’ll find more photos from their session there. The location was beautiful and is becoming one of my favorites: The Colorado River State Historic Park. It has some of the most beautiful grounds in the city and plenty of different buildings, textures that make for a photographer’s dream. There is a small fee to get in and absolutely worth every penny! Please do go visit. It’s a must see if in the Yuma area!
