Getting Scientific
During today’s morning walk, I went in search of something to focus my Tamron AF70-300mm LD Macro lens on. The first couple of photos are of some Pyracantha I encountered near my home. According to Wikipedia they are “a genus of large, thorny evergreen shrubs in the family Rosaceae, with common names firethorn or pyracantha.” Through my lens they looked like miniature pomegranates.
The bougainvillea is one of my favorite ornamental plants and we have quite a few bushes of it in our property. Although it is a very hardy plant and you are sure to find some flowers all year round, the sight of it in full bloom is something else! Perfect for our hot desert climate.
I love how photography is teaching me much more than the art and mechanics of itself. Looking forward to learning more!
