Senseless
I try my best to not allow myself to be carried away in senseless arguments, whether it is simply as a spectator or a participant - willing or not. My home is my sanctuary and it has come to the point I do not turn on the TV, my FB news feed is nothing but photography related stuff or homeschooling/autism related groups. In a way, I am almost glad that we are having to keep away from one another because I feel angst at the things some people put out there. I tell my children hate is a very strong word and to be careful what they apply it to. I dislike a world that is moved by it, shaped by it. One of the strongest images I've seen recently, is that of a child vomiting the words of a parent. I just don't even know what else to say.
This is as close to a political post as you'll get from me because I think there is enough of that going around. I spoke when I casted my vote, and I will continue to "speak" for as long as I have the right to do so. Most importantly, I will always try to be moved by love, compassion and kindness and nothing else. π·βπΌπ€πΌ
